hello!

My name is Carolina Corredor.

I am a digital product designer with experience in processes of design UI/UX end-to-end.

Let me tell you my story…
I am passionate about all areas of design.

With more than 13 years of work experience in design, currently, my focus is on product design, but my curiosity and my versatility have led me to explore and deepen different fields of design, art and crafts.

From the design basis, branding, typography and editorial layout, passing through the UI and UX fields, up to interior design, photography and engraving, among other areas.

I enjoy the creation process and I love to combine my bits of knowledge to inspire me and to achieve creative and integral results.

I believe in the power of the small details, keeping things simple and bearing in mind, above all, the functionality and the user experience.

I started working when I was 18 years old. For 3 years I was the eyes of a lovely old lady with permanent blindness. This developed my most human side and made me much more aware of the accessibility needs of this collective.

After that stage, I began to study Artistic Photography, learning analogue techniques and spending hours developing in the darkroom. That knowledge gave me agility in image composition and good bases of space scenery.

At the same time, I was working for 4 years designing and developing online courses in a Flash and Action Script environment. It was my first approach to programming logic and user flows within a screen.

After finishing photography, I started a Degree in Graphic Design. My favourite subjects were digital and interactive design, typography, and end-to-end projects. During part of the last year of these studies, I participated in an exchange program in Milan, in the Degree of Graphic Design and Art Direction.

I delved into topics such as interactive animation, user interface design and editorial layout.

In the final degree thesis, I focused on a real project. A moment in which a new phase in my work trajectory began. As the only designer in the team, I had the chance, besides the designing of the product, to fully develop the visual strategy, branding, all collateral materials and the design of spaces, both in the office and in the stands for events.

Later the startup was reconverted, pivoting from a B2C product to a completely new B2B one. This allowed me to collaborate in the end-to-end design, from the research and ideation process, going through brand language from scratch, branding, up to the user interface and the complete user experience.

I have been immersed in this project for more than 8 years, leading the design team and being fully in charge of the product design and UI/UX.

Finally, and continuing with the multi-tasking trend, I studied a Master’s Degree in Research in Art and Creation, giving free rein to my creative side and experimenting within the framework of the fusion between art and technology.

And broadly speaking, that has been the path that brought me here, maintaining that curiosity and versatility that have led me to be, as my current boss says, “an all-terrain designer”.
